The NEONATAL TSH Screening ELISA kit is an ELISA-type quantitative test for quantifying thyrotropin or thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) from dried blood spot samples on 903® or 226 filter paper. This TSH test is for newborn baby screening for congenital hypothyroidism.
The NEONATAL TSH Screening ELISA is a sandwich ELISA: two monoclonal anti-TSH antibodies recognize native TSH, one for capture, the other for colorimetric visualization. Thus, the measured absorbance signal intensity is proportional to the concentration of TSH or thyrotropin in the test sample.
