Automated DBS Punchers
The Ascent range includes automated DBS punchers with two plate capacity. Their use is particularly suitable for forensic laboratories. The Ascent range is also suitable for neonatal screening laboratories of limited size.
Different options have been added, unique to this range: an ionizer option and a camera option. The ionizer option decreases static electricity during punching. The camera option images the plate before and after each punch to check the correct placement of each disc in the dedicated well. This last option includes a tablet.
The Ascent range consists of two DBS punchers: the Ascent A2 and M2 punchers models.
The A2 model is fitted with a mobile head. This allows automatic perforation of multiple discs from the same sample. A light targeting system illuminates a punch pattern on the sample. In this way the user positions the card for optimal punching. This feature also increases lab workflow by punching up to seven discs per blood spot.
The M2 has a fixed piercer head, and the sample card is positioned by visual alignment by the user before each punch.

The Immunomat™ is intended for neonatal screening laboratories performing between 400 and 1000 daily determinations. With a maximum capacity of 7 microplates, it optimizes the rate of the laboratory by allowing the processing of different parameters in parallel.
With a capacity of nine plates, the Galaxy A9 DBS puncher is the latest addition to the line and is ideal for newborn screening laboratories that test multiple parameters simultaneously or screen a large quantity of samples.
