EURLIPIDS
EUR.LIPIDS | Interreg Euregio Meuse-Rhin (interregemr.eu) - The Project EURLIPIDS
Development of a virtual platform for lipid research involving ZenTech and no less than 10 other partners
INITIATIVE
Eurlipids is realized within the framework of Interreg V-A Euregio Meuse-Rhine with the support of the European Regional
Development Fund of the European Union.
THE PROJECT
The Euregio is using its expertise and knowledge to develop a virtual platform for lipid-based solutions and technologies ("Lipid Valley")
To this end, a cluster of research institutes, industrial partners and SMEs has been founded and is based on 3 pillars
- Human capacity building for lipid research in MRE including a study component for MA and PhD students
- Research of new analytical methods (biomarkers, biomedical materials) ;
- The development and marketing of new clinical products in order to economically valorize the research activities.
- In order for the industrial partners, SMEs and spin-offs, who have collaborated in this project to benefit from their participation, the research and valorisation activities will lead to solutions protected by patents
PROJECT PARTNERS
-
Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, represented by KU Leuven research & development
-
Universitätsklinikum Aachen - Institut für Molekulare Herz-Kreislaufforschung
"An infrastructure project: H2020 Infra EU_FT-ICR_MS - DLV-731077, in which the ultra-high resolution mass spectrometry platform is included in a European network for access to research infrastructures.
The EU FT-ICR MS project aims to establish a European network of FT-ICR (Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance) mass spectrometry (MS) centers in association with a software manufacturer and SME."
OBJECTIVES
- To provide access to world-class FT-ICR MS centers to the academic, industrial and SME communities in the European Union.
- To build an EU community of scientists and end-users of FT-ICR
- Enable EU research centers to have access to open source data and software
- Encourage innovative and collaborative research between Europe's academic scientists and private industry by strengthening the scope of FT-ICR MS
